The Valsugana Valley, set between the cities of Trento and Bassano del Grappa, is a real paradise for lovers of ciclying: kilometres and kilometres of routes, tracks and paths to choose from and set off for an exciting adventure. You can cycle in total freedom and enjoy the surrounding nature.
The cycle path at the bottom of the valley has just been completed. It is 60 kilometres long and this makes it one of the longest in the Trentino Region. The path can be used as a connection road to the various departure points of the suggested itineraries. The Olympic champion Paola Pezzo personally selected the itineraries below. In fact she trained a lot of times right here in Valsugana.

The description of each tour includes information on the environmental and historical context, tips on the cycle paths, any other relating general information and curiosities on the surrounding areas, besides technical information such as lenght, type of road, level of difficulty and distance covered. The cycle paths are numbered purely as indication, in fact there are no numbered signs along the paths. The paths start from Pergine Valsugana and move towards Roncegno Terme. To make things easier for our guests all the paths were identified using the GPS system and they can be downloaded at the Valsugana Tourism Office.
All itineraries start at a specific departure point, which is normally next to a big parking area and they follow one direction. Regardless of these reference points, you can always move from one path to another and customize the cycle path according to the athletic inspiration of the moment. The connection between the various paths are highlighted in yellow. You can reach the path highlighted on the map from any point in Valsugana.

As regards the level of difficulty we tried to identify a series of paths in order to meet the requests of all our guests. There are three different kinds of cycle paths:
easy for all types of bicycles, no hills or really easy, with white or dirt roads;
intermediate paved or flat roads, with hills that call for a certain physical effort and minimum driving skills if you decide to use a four-wheel drive jeep;
advanced on paved and dirt roads, with fairly steep hills, for bickers with a good physical preparation and used to riding.

ITINERARIES

1. LAKE S.COLOMBA AND THE PORPHYRY QUARRIES
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: MADRANO

LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE

Starting between the dirt road that leads to the Biotope (conservation land-moorland) of Madrano and the state road SP for Baselga di Piné (use the parking lot right by the road), follow the SP road up to the town of Nogarè and then continue up to the crossing with the road of the Quadrate. Take this road and go down to the intersection. Follow the road that goes to the town of Fornace. Go up towards the town, ride through up to the highest part of the town and take the dirt road on the left and follow the signs 'Monte Piano path' along the spectacular cliff of the porphyry quarries. Follow the path in the woods marked by the white and green MP BIKE signs until you reach a big green field. Turn right until you get to the SAT 421 route, ride along this route up to lake S. Colomba. Here take the paved road, turn left and go down the hill passing through S. Agnese, Mazzanigo, Bampi and Torchio. After crossing the SP go down the narrow street that takes you to the village of Sille di Civezzano and here go back up towards Madrano until you reach the arrival point.
2. PINÉ PLATEAU

Starting from the Miralago Hotel Parking, not far from lake Canzolino, go up towards Piné. After about 700 metres take the road on the left with the sign Bus. After a fairly steep hill you get to the centre of the town. We suggest stopping here a few minutes to take a look at the little church which overlooks the valley and offers a spectacular view of the lake. Keep on going up the hill, along the only paved road following the signs for Montagnaga. After reaching the centre of this town, follow the signs for Bernardi. From here go left and follow the signs for the Biotope (conservation land-moorland) Laghestel. Go through this Biotope by taking the dirt road. After reaching the paved road again follow the signs first for Miola (the famous ice-skating centre where many ice-skating world championships have been held), then for Faida. Go through the town and continue along the paved road, going down the hill. You will reach the viallge of Buon Riposo, cross the SP road. Go left, down the winding road and you are back at the departure point near the lake.
3. THE SMALL LAKES OF PERGINESE

Starting from the parking area of the sports centre in Pergine Valsugana, ride along the river Ferina. Go towards Brazzanighe and after a few metres, on the left, take the road right along Lake Costa. Go straight and after passing a few houses, turn right, go over a little bridge and you are on the main road. Ride along this road, you can see lake Canzolino on your left. Tutn left at the Miralago Hotel and follow the signs for the small lakes route until you get onto the main road, then take the flat trail that leads to lake Madrano. The trial turns into a dirt road, stay on this road and keep following the symbol indicating the small lake route. Continue on the paved road; at a certain point the path turns into a dirt road again. Go through the vineyards and along the grassy road. Continue up past the sports centre. You are back on the paved road. At the intersection, take the small lakes path on the left. Turn right at the cross and continue up to the town (you'll see the school on your right) and after riding past a few houses, follow the signs for Casalino. Turn right to go to the biotope (conservation land - morrland) of Lake Pudro. The path continues along a dirt road up to the end of the itinerary.
4. VIARAGO ALPINE HUTS
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: VIARAGO

Starting from the Viarago church, go towards the theatre, cross the town centre until you reach the SP road. Follow the sign for S. Orsola, stay on the left and enter the town of Mala. Before the viaduct turn left towards the village of Agnolotti and after 30 metres turn left again and go up the long paved hill following the signs for the restaurant Capriolo. After about 5 kms turn left at the intersection and go down the long hill (200 metres on the right there is the restaurant). You will see the first houses and pay close attention to the road on the left for Dos del Quarzo. Take this road making a 360° turn. After about 2.3 kms, take the road via Maso Fenugola, and after about 200 metres, turn right on the dirt road (before reaching the farmstead). At about 300 metres you should find a barrier, pass it and continue along the main road. After about 300 metres, there are three roads, take the one on the right and continue along the flat road until you reach and go past lake Restel. After 450 metres, at the end of a little hill, before the river, turn left and go down the hill (mind the leaves and stones) until you get to a paved road. Turn left and continue along this road, which is flat at first and then starts heading downhill. At the intersection with the main road near a capital, turn left and then go back to the departure in Viarago.
5. VAL DEI MOCHENI
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: CANEZZA

Starting from the town of Canezza, follow the signs for Frassilongo and the SP road. Go up a long and steady hill, sometimes it crosses the woods and meadows with a beautiful view over the valley. After going through Frassilongo continue towards Fierozzo, ride past it and follow the signs for Palù del Fersina. You don't actually reach this town, before the town starts, after passing the long viaduct, turn right and go under the bridge again. Go down a hill along the right bank of the river Fersina until you reach the starting point in Canezza. Downhill the road is almost all dirt. As you are riding uphill, stop at the Filzerhof farmstead to catch your breath a little.
6. MARZOLA
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: RONCOGNO

LEVEL: ADVANCED

Starting from the parking near the church, go through the houses, after going past a fountain and a war monument. After a few metres go right over a bridge. This road is a bit difficult and takes you up to the Cimirlo Pass at 733 metres. Continue to the left, go up the paved road through the woods following for 'Rifugio Maranza'. Cross a flat grassy area with a wonderful view over the Adige Valley and the city of Trento. Continue up to the area 'loc. Pra Marquart', at about 500 metres, after the former powder magazine. Here take the forest path on the right closed off by a barrier. Continue on the dirt road in the woods, and enjoy the brief views over the city of Trento, after about 2 kms you get to an intersection called 'delle 4 strade' (four roads). There is a sign on the left pointing towards the Rifugio Marzola, and on the right for Rifugio Bindesi / Villazzano. At this intersection go straight until you reach a path on the left near a curve, where the road becomes narrow and starts to go down a steep hill towards Fort Brusafer. Take the path on the left, in the woods, and continue (we suggest walking for about 20 metres) until you get to the forest road. Continue along the dirt forest road, ride past the barrier and go straight following the 'Marzola Bike' sign. On the right you have a wonderful view of the Sorda Valley. Go down the hill until you get to the barrier, go past it. Continue down following the sign '60 km della Vigolana / Masi di Vigolo'. At the end of the dirt road, take the paved road to Vigolo Vattaro. Continue towards the park and the Vigolo castle; after the sanctuary of Feles go down towards Bosentino, then to the village of Migazzone. Continue towards S. Caterina on a flat road and after passing the charming chestnut woods, you are in the town. Ride down for 50 metres and after the church, go towards the farmstead Maso Begher. After two sharp turns, there is a house, turn right on the dirt road and in just a few minutes you are at the farmstead Maso Posser. Go down the paved road up to the sharp turn; take the dirt road on the left, after 1 km you are in the village of S. Vito. From here ride towards Susà. After the church at the beginning of the road that connects it with Pergine, go left on the paved road through the meadows and orchards and continue towards Costasavina; after reaching the church continue towards Roncogno.
7. MALGA SUSÀ

Starting from the church of Susà, continue up the hill. At the end of town, at the Capital turn right and go up the little road that passes right behind the house in the road 'Via delle Callare'. Continue up to the intersection wi the road 'Vial alla Malga'. Start going up the hill, first on a paved road then on a dirt road. The road goes up until the bottom of Marzola. Keep going up following the forest road. Ignore all other signs and paths. Reach the end of the hill near a barrier at 1.155 m.a.s.l. After passing the barrier go straight on the forest road (not far from here, on the left there is a beautiful view of Lake Caldonazzo and Valsugana). Go down the hill until you get to a gas pipeline booth. After a few minutes there is an intersection with a sign for the Vivaio Forestale (Forest Garden Centre). Continue down the hill following the signs for '33 Piani di Bosentino' up to the intersection. Here turn right and after about 100 metres turn left, and take the steep forest road to Vigolo castle. Go around the castle following the road and at the intersection turn right and go towards Bosentino. Go over the bridge and to the left along the forest road in the woods following the signs for 'Giro dei Masi - 60 km della Vigolana/32 Feles'. Keep going up the hill until you get to a barrier, pass it and at the intersection turn left for '60 km della Vigolana/32 Feles'. Go up to the paved road and enjoy the view on the valley below up to the intersection, here turn right and follow the same signs. Continue down the hill up to 'Maso Tofol' and at the capital go behind the farmstead and continue straight ignoring the other signs. After going up and down the hill through the woods you get to the farmstead 'Maso Pergher'. From here go up the hill behind the farmstead. Not far from here there is 'Maso Eccher'. Go behind the farmstead and the 'Capital', enter the woods following the signs for '13 Giro dei Masi de Castagnè' and continue down the hill on the dirt road. Ignore all other signs. Go back up on the paved road until you get to the farmstead 'Maso Frizzi', pass it, and keep going up following the signs for '13 Giro dei Masi de Castagnè'. After passing 'Maso Toldi', go down, stay on the right, following the same signs right up before the 'Maso Ungherle' and right after the 'Maso Poper'. Continue to the left towards Susà. Go down for a bit and you are in town.
8. THE PERGINE CASTLE
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: Pergine Castle

Starting from the parking area at the bottom of the Pergine Castle, follow the dirt road to the right that goes down towards the town of Pergine. After a few metres stay on the right, following the woods and the town. Continue along the dirt road until you get to the paved road. Go right and not far from there you can enjoy a wonderful view of the castle. At the intersection turn right and at the stop sign on the SP road turn right again and after 300 metres near the Chhurch turn left and go through the village of Masetti. Follow the signs for Zava. After a fairly steep but short hill you reach the town of Zava. Go through the town and keep going on the right. Go down a dirt road. Go through the meadows, the apple orchards and then enter the woods. Go down the steep hill until you get to the paved road. Keep to the right, follow the road up and down a bit until you get to Masetti again. Cross the SP, follow the signs for the Castle and you are back in the parking area and departure point.
9. VIGNOLA PANAROTTA
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: VIGNOLA

LEVEL: ADVANCED

Starting from turn 5 not far from the town of Vignola, pass the stream and start walking through the woods. After about 300 metres, at the intersection turn right and start going down until you get to the intersection with another forest road. Stay to the left and start going up. After about 1.5 kms you get to the SP road for Vetriolo. At turn 5 stay on the left, keep on going up on the paved road up to turn 9 near the capital. Turn right on the dirt road through the woods (road of the Michelote). After 300 metres stay to the left, go up and continue along this road ignoring the other minor roads until you reach Compet and you are back on the SP not far from the hotels. Follow the signs for Panarotta and after 3.5 kms going uphill turn left and go down towards Malga Montagna Granda until you reach the bottom of the ski lift La Malga della Panarotta. Enjoy a beautiful view of the Mocheni Valley below and the Brenta mountains in the back. Leave the lifts on the right and take the dirt road down towards the Rigolor lifts. Tight before this turn left and go down through the woods. Ride past alpine hut Baita dei Cavai, a pleasant wooden construction, still keep left and go down until you get to the paved road on the left (if you want, turn right to reach the characteristic town falesina). You are soon in the centre of Vignola, go through and reach the stop sign with the SP road. Turn right and after a couple hundred metres you are at the departure point again.
10. PRATI IMPERIALI
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: KAMAUWRUNT

Starting from Kamauwrunt going up the paved road towards Prati Imperiali, turn left after about 1 km and take the dirt forest road that goes up towards the 'Maso Colerbisc / Prati Imperiali'. keep going up following the signs for Prati Imperiali. The forest road sometimes turns into a paved road. After going up and down the road, ride past the Prati Imperiali and follow the signs for the hut Malga Pletzen. From Malga Pletzen keep going down the paved road until you reach the SP. Turn left, go down passing by Fierozzo. After the farmstead Maso Puech turn left and go towards Kamauwrunt. Go up the last steep hill that will take you to the departure point.
11.VETRIOLO - MALGA MASI - LA BASSA
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: VETRIOLO

RIDING TIME: 2.30 hours
LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE

Starting from the parking area right in front of the Maso Vetriolo Vecchio, continue up to the left along the forest road (direction Malga Masi - Panarotta 2002), a pleasant ride uphill, up to Malga Masi (ignore any detour) about 3.5 kms. out of the woods, at the end of the dirt road, before the alpine hut, enjoy the panorama of the area around Levico Terme. Continue uphill from the hut on a grassy but difficult road, due to the stones along the way, until you get to the saddle 'La Bassa'. There you can choose to go in other directions because many roads and paths cross this point. Take the dirt road on the left (direction La Bassa) and go down to the Chalet Panarotta 2002. Continue to the left passing by the ski lifts up to the shelter Rifugio Panarotta. From here go up along the dirt road that takes you to the ski lifts and then goes down through the grassy hills on the left of the Campo Scuola School ski lift. Follow the signs for Giro del Furet, which after a short grassy section, becomes a dirt road again and leads through the woods to the forest road. Take the road on the left and after a few metres, you'll see the sign 'Strada dei Siori'. Go straight, ride past the former Hotel trento and the new Thermal Spa Centre, and you are at the parking area near the Bar again.
12. LEVICO - VETRIOLO
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: LEVICO TERME

LEVEL: ADVANCED

Starting from the parking area near the intersection between the roads for Vetriolo and the road Strada dei Baiti, not far from the town of Levico, go left towards Compet Panarotta. Continue uphill on the paved road, which is also a stage in the Tour of Italy bike race. The famous hill is also used for many car and motorcycle races and for other sports. At turn 9 near a capital, turn right on a dirt road in the woods (the road Strada delle Michelote). After 300 metres keep left, go up and continue ignoring all the other minor roads until you get to Compet and on the SP road again near the hotels. Continue to the right, taking the road up towards Vetriolo. We suggest stopping on the top of the hill to enjoy the view and get ready for the part downhill. This last stretch of the path is all downhill until you get to the departure point, riding through the woods, meadows and many shelters that are used for holidays both in the winter and summer (we suggest riding along this path in the reverse order).
13. LAKE LEVICO
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: LEVICO TERME PUBLIC BEACH

LEVEL: EASY-INTERMEDIATE

Starting from the parking near the public beach of lake Levico, continue along the lake (leaving it on your left) and then go up towards the centre. At the intersection turn left and after 150 metres keep to the right until you reach the park Prime Rose. Go along the park (if you want to go up foe about 400 metres, you can visit the old church of Saint Biagio. Go back down). Continue along the paved road which goes uphill a bit. After a turn to the right, take a sharp left and take the dirt road, a short but steep hill. Enter the woods, after 700 metres keep to the right towards Forte delle Benne. Go along the vineyard and once you reach the forest road, turn right and after a few metres, reach the barrier and ride past it to get to the fort. we suggest riding around the walls and stopping to enjoy first the view of lake Levico and then of the city. Take the forest road again, following it down to the paved road, cross it, go downhill again and take the road on the right. As soon as you get close to the houses of the town of Visitainer, turn left (dirt road downhill). After a few metres turn right following the signs for the path of Peace (sentiero della Pace) and the lake. After crossing the bridge in the woods, stay on the left and follow the road that takes you to the lake, follow it along the woods. Continue along the dirt forest road until you reach the barrier. Here take the road uphill on the right until you reach the main road connecting Tenna and Levico. Go left downhill and at the end after about 250 metres, before the intersection, turn left and take the bike route that runs along the river Brenta and goes towards the lake. After reachin the intersection turn left and continue straight up to the starting point.
14. PANORAMIC PATH AROUND LAKE CALDONAZZO
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: LOC. BRENTA (BRENTA VILLAGE)

Starting from the parking near the SP road and the restaurant Al Sole, after leaving the rstaurant, go up and after a fes metres you should see the sign for Via Claudia Augusta Altinate. Keep left and after going up a paved road a bit, continue along the dirt road under the shade of acacia trees and vineyards. Continue along the dirt road and enjoy the beautiful view of lake Caldonazzo and, at the crossing with the main paved road, turn left and go down toeards the lake beach. Take the first road going up on the right at the first turn, after a few metres it turns into a dirt road. Continue in the woods, on the left you can see lake Caldonazzo. After the first houses continue along the paved road uphill. After the sharp turn onthe right, go straight along the dirt road towards Ischia village. Go through the new part of the village, until you get to the main road by the church. Turn right and go towards Tenna passing by the Alberè pine forest. After going downhill for about 300 metres, keep right, enter the centre of Tenna leaving the church on the left. At the end of the hill, go straight along the road Via Roma. After about 150 metres at the capital stay on the left towards the road Via S. Valentino until you get to the fort. Enjoy the wonderful view of the lake and the city of Levico. Continue along the dirt road and after passing through vineyards and the woods of Colle San Valentino you'll see a very old church with interesting frescos and Middle Age architecture. Go down along the street until you reach the paved road which leads to the departure point.
15. CALCERANICA CENTA SAN NICOLÒ
DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL: Piazza Municipio of Calceranica al Lago

Starting from the municipal building of Calceranica towards Caldonazzo, go through the town and take the SP towards Caldonazzo entering the town centre up past the church and the Castle of the Magnifica Corte Trapp. At the end of the walls, turn right on a dirt road, flat through apple orchards and then slightly uphill following the signs for '60 km della Vigolana' up to the paved road. From here go left uphill. The dirt road starts right by 'Villa Rosa'. You get to an intersection (on a sharp turn) go left along the forest road. At the intersection with ?Torre dei Sicconi' go right and follow the signs for Campregheri. From the square with the capital, turn left and then continue up to the church of the town. Go up the forest road following the signs for '1 Vigolana' ignoring all other signs. After 300 metres at an intersection go straight, keep the left, towards '13 La Genzianelle'. The road becomes narrow and then wider, go up and down to 'Loc. Rossi' (Uezzi). Continue towards Centa S. Nicolò, passing behind the church, continue going uphill on the paved road. Follow the signs 'Carbonare' until you get to the restaurant Al Bosco. Cross the SP and continue taking the road uphill (first part paved thendirt) which passes behind the restaurant. At the intersection, go right uphill towards 'Tiecheri' reaching the fountain in the little square. Go along the white road to the ledft of the fountain passing through meadows and fruit orchards (ignore other signs) until you get to the roundabout on the SP. Go left, take the forest road inside the woods following the signs for 'Dos del Bue/Rif. Madonnina'. Continue downhill (gravel/dirt) ignoring the other signs. In 'Loc. Dos Alt' go straight, direction '60 km della Vigolana -Paludei/Foscur'. Continue downhill, first ride past the Val dei Tabacari and then the Riding School, reaching the shelter Rif. Madonnina. Continue downhill up to the hut Malga Bue. The dirt road ends here, continue downhill on the paved road up to the town of Vattaro. Upon entering the town, before the turn, keep right and go over a little bridge. Make a sharp left following the signs '22 Giro dei Mulini di Vattaro'. Go under the bridge under the SP and continue to the right. Reach 'Loc. Albio' and continue to the left following the same directions. Go to the intersection with the capital, turn right towards Bosentino. Go downhill, pass the church and the cemetery and continue along a narrow paved road which goes through fruit orchards. It then turns into a dirt road and leads to the Andreatta's mill. At the end of the narrow path through the woods, cross a little wood bridge and go down the paved road on the right (ignore the sign '22 Giro dei Mulini di Vattaro' which heads back towards Vattaro). Continue to the left uphill for aobut 200 metres and turn right at the horse stables which are on the left, take the dirt road for '1 Vigolana'. This road crosses the farm fields under the village of Bosentino. Go over a little bridge and continue slightly uphill through fruit orchards up to the SP road. From here continue to the right downhill following the road up to the area in front of the Begher Hotel. From there take the road downhill on the left of the hotel until you get to the town of Calceranica al Lago. Cross the bridge over the Mandola stream to reach the departure point.

Starting from the parking area in front of the Paoli Hotel, in Lochere, take the dirt road towards Santa Giuliana and continue up to the first houses. Follow the signs for Barco along the paved road. At the intersection that leads to the town centre, go straight up to the cycle path among the fields near two big poplar trees. Go left towardslake Caldonazzo. Pass the intersection with Levico, crossing the state road and take the road Via Andanta and go straight towards the apple orchards. Keep on going straight until you get to the roundabout in Calceranica. At this point, head back passing through the centre of Caldonazzo. Go past the church and the Corte trapp, go straight towards the sports centre, pass it. Follow the signs along the paved road for Lochere to reach the departure point.
17. THE THERMAL SPAS: LEVICO AND RONCEGNO

Starting from the parking area in the street Via Avancini in Levico Terme, follow the one-way street up to the stop sign. Turn right and follow the signs for Padova. Go along the old state road of Valsugana towards Borgo passing through Novaledo (after 4 kms) where you can visit the ruins of the tower Tor Quadra, and Marter where you can visit the Mill and the Water Museum right by the Tower Tor Tonda. After reaching the circle at the end of town, follow the signs for Roncegno. After a short hill you reach the town. Upon entering the town, walk along the thermal spa park, leaving it on your left. At the intersection, keep right towards Borgo. At the next intersection, keep left direction Borgo. After 200 metres, at the stop sign, go straight take the cycle path using the train underpass. After passing it, turn right to follow the cycle path untilyou reach the new bridge of the main road, after about 12 kms, which connects Lochere with Levico. Go right and then up towards the town. After the train crossing, take the first road on the right to reach Levico train station, go up towards the town, head for the thermal spa paek and up to the departure point.
18. VAL DI SELLA

Starting from Barco, near the church, direction Borgo, continue along the street going downhill fisrt through rown and then in the fields up to the cycle path, on the right near the river Brenta. Right before getting to Borgo at the T-crossing instead of turning left and using the train underpass, leave the cycle path and keep to the right. Ride along a trout breeding area and keep on going straight up a paved road. After about 400 metres you get to an intersection: instead of turning right for the marked cycle path, keep to the right to reach and ride along Villa Dordi. The street continues downhill until you reach an intersection after about 600 metres. Keep to the right and start going uphill. At the next crossing in the woods turn left and take the paved road. After a long hill you get to S. Giorgio and at the intersection with the SP go right towards Val di Sella (if you go down on your left you head back, first you get to Borgo and thenfollow the signs for the cycle path). After about 1.5 kms take the road up on the right marked with the cycle path signs. After about 800 metres of steep hills you get onto a flat diert road. Next to the restaurant Legno you get back onto the SP. Continue straight along and after about 300 metres take the road uphill on the right which marks the beginning of the Art and Nature path. Follow this path up to the biotope (conservation land - moorland) and then take the paved road again and go right. Go pass the Carlom restaurant and go straight following the signs for Malga Costa (we suggest stopping to visit the Cathedral Vegetale not far from there). Continue on the dirt road uphill following the signs for Barco. Right by the end of the woods, on the left there is a wood gate/barrier, pass it and continue along a house (on the left). Go downhill a bit for 15 metres and on the right take the road in the woods that goes on down and ends up at a crossroads. Keep to the left and after passing the bridge continue uphill staying on the main road without making any detour. After about 9 kms you get to the town of Barco. Head back to the departure point near the church.
19. PATH AROUND THE CHESTNUT TREES OF RONCEGNO TERME

Starting from the square in front of the church of Roncegno, direction Ronchi Valsugana, continue past the town of Ronchi, on the main road. After about 1 km, on the left there is an intersection with signs for Desene, and other places. The little paved winding road goes up and through fields and chestnut woods. Continue along the main road without following any other direction. After about 5 kms follow the sign on the right for the shelter Serot. Going up the paved road is not very difficult and you go through the towns of Zurli, Ganarini, Roccolo, Saline. After 11 kms, after crossing woods and alpine meadows, you get to an intersection with various dirt roads: the one on the left goes to Pozze and Serot, and the one on the right goes to Compo, La Stua, Samona and the small town of Ronchi. Continue towards Pozze along flat roads and then straight on up to the intersection. After going by the hut Trenca, the road goes down towards the shelter Serot, (path SAT 371 goes by it), and then continues to the left towards Le Pozze. After a few kms downhill, on the right you will see the signs for lake Prese at about 1 km. At km 17 you will find the restaurant alle Pozze, continue on the paved road up to the intersection at km 19.6 and follow the sign for Cinque Valli on the right. Continue uphill on the paved road for 3.5 kms up to the shelter Cinque Valli, and then go down the steep forest road, to the left of the hut (dirt road), up to Maso Gretti, where the road is paved and continues for about 1 km and then becomes a dirt road again. Pass through the small town of Tesobbo and after a mixed dirt-paved road segment you can see the little renovated church of Saint Biagio. Go down to Roncegno along the Larganza stream passing by either Cadenzi or Larganzoni.
